  Seasonal Command: The Gentle (57)
The Gentle means crouching. Crouching is a posture of submission, humbleness, restraint and non-assertiveness. It is a posture one assumes to go down into or beneath, in order to examine, to repair, to learn, to re-energize. Crouching may be antecedent to springing out, jumping upon, or leaping ahead.
The autumn arc of any cycle should be used for quiet observation. Reflect evenly on the past, review the actions taken, examine the results, and contemplate your goals. When you have penetrated more fully into Now, make plans that will harmonize with the forces that generate what is becoming.
Sequence: What one experiences in life is a response of universal energy and intelligence to one's commands. To have desirable experiences, refraim from negativity. Through gentleness realize penetration. Penetrate a situation more fully. Fuller understanding is the clarity represented in opposition. Clarity leads to joy.

  The Receptive (2) 1-6 Days
The Receptive indicates the human placement in nature which is to serve. We enjoy the greatest harmony when we are individually and collectively yielding, devoted, moderate and correct. To yield to the things and conditions encountered in life is to dance with them so as to flow with a minimium of resistance. To be devoted is to protect and further the wellbeing of the ten thousand things. Be moderate in mutating, destroying and changing the forms of nature, Being correct means to attain leadership by following the guidance that comes from those who are led. Each time we make use of the infinite bounties which flow endlessly out of nature, humanity is somewhere enriched and ennobled.
Sequence: In the world of things two forces of importance complement each other. The Receptive is great because it strives to become perfect. Because it must seperate from the Originating, it never attains perfection. The Originating is the generating principle and the mystery of life comes from it. The Receptive brings the mystery into creation, thereby fulfilling the purpose of its nature.
